BIRGIT 2nd Transnational Partners’ Meeting in Upsalla, Sweden

BIRGIT 2nd Transnational Partners’ Meeting in Upsalla, Sweden

June 7th and 8th, 2022, Upsalla, SE

BIRGIT project aims to develop interdisciplinary training courses and materials at higher Vocational Education and Training (VET) level that will provide students with skills and competences for successfully integrate BIM (Building Information Models) and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) technologies, given that the best results in Construction, Engineering and Architecture are achieved when the BIM and GIS approaches are used simultaneously. BIM and GIS integration allows buildings and constructions to be visualised and analysed together with their surroundings, reducing time, costs and carbon footprints, resulting in higher effectivity and sustainability.

After a Kick-off Meeting that was held online in February 2022, BIRGIT partners had the opportunity to finally meet in person in Uppsala, Sweden, for the second Transnational Partners Meeting (TPM), organised by Ocellus AB (Project Coordinator).

This TPM had a very busy schedule on both days (June 7th and 8th, 2022) to allow partners to collaboratively discuss the most important topics for the project’s implementation and progress. Those topics included a brief overview of BIRGIT (including its main purposes and expected impact), the current status of the project’s implementation, the plans for the upcoming Project Results, for Dissemination and Exploitation and for risk management, important aspects to be considered by the consortium for the success of BIRGIT.

All partner organisations were represented in this meeting. EfVET was represented by Kent Andersen and by Susana Nogueira, who attended the meeting online and presented the draft of BIRGIT Dissemination Plan prepared by EfVET (one of BIRGIT partners supporting Ocellus AB in Dissemination).

The next TPM will be held virtually, in October 2022. Until then, other follow-up meetings will occur to ensure that the implementation of BIRGIT project’s activities is according to schedule.
