e-Trainers: an upskilling opportunity for VET professionals
Apro Formazione is happy to announce that the KA2 Erasmus+ project e-Trainers has been added in the Teacher Academy of School Education Gateway, the European platform for school education.
School Education Gateway acknowledges the importance of e-Trainers project, as it aims to increase the skills of VET professionals, such as teachers and trainers, in the use of different digital tools, that in this historical time are becoming more and more a crucial competence.
How does e-Trainers work? e-Trainers is an online platform that offers teachers and trainers free online training courses, designed and implemented by teachers from our European partnership.
More specifically, by boosting teachers and trainers’ digital competences, e-Trainers aims to inspire and promote the creation of digital educational content, the development of transversal skills of young people and the critical and constructive use of the Internet for educational purposes.
In order to attain these objectives, the courses are structured in three modules:
- COBUILDING: It trains the trainers in guiding their students in the creation of digital content;
- EMPLOY: It enhances trainers’ competences on developing life and career skills of their students;
- DIGICOMP: It allows the trainers to become digitally confident, by increasing their knowledge on topics like information processing, troubleshooting, communication, security, and content creation.
As a consequence of COVID-19 pandemic, the school education will probably need to make a further move towards a digital transformation and in this context e-Trainers has a good potential to help and support teachers and trainers who are lacking knowledge on specific use of the digital tools.
The courses include adaptations for special needs students, and are available in 9 languages (English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, Slovenian, Latvian, and Croatian). Until now, e-Trainers courses have been attended by VET professionals in 48 Countries, especially in the European and African continent.
