Erasmus+ KA2 project “EIRENE” created methodology in working on the topic of bullying
Few months ago, there was held the final transnational remote meeting of the project “EIRENE: using community learning paths to tackle bullying” (Project number: 2018-IT02-KA201-048161). Because of the COVID-19 situation, the meeting couldn’t be organised live, but all project partner organisations have met remotely and welcomed the results of the project.
Project “Eirene: using community learning paths to tackle bullying”
The project was initiated to offer solutions to the problems presented at the European Anti-Bullying Network conferences in 2014, 2015 and 2017: increased levels of bullying and cyberbullying. Therefore, the objectives of this project are:
- To increase the ability to respond to the phenomenon of bullying in the school environment;
- To develop methodologies and training courses to enhance teachers’ competences by offering a specific set of laboratories as an effective tool in the fight against bullying;
- To give teachers and students (13-16 years old) the opportunity to try out a new methodology that will allow them to get acquainted with bullying and ways to overcome it;
- To involve key members of the school community (parents, associations, institutions) in the interdepartmental network in order to actively combat negative behaviour.
- To develop and implement social media campaigns to combat bullying.

During the meeting, project partners have discussed about using drama theatre method in working with students on the topic of bullying, the similarities and differences in its implementation in the context of each country. All organisations, which have used this method unanimously agreed that the application of this method significantly contributed to a greater understanding of the phenomenon of bullying in the students who participated in the classes.
During the meeting it were also presented videos created by the students, who participated in the project for a social campaign against bullying. All partners were pleased with the successful process of creating the videos and the result obtained.
