Esprominho returned on top with the international mobilities
In September 2021 the school participated in 5 mobilities, from several projects supported by Erasmus+, in Spain, Denmark and Lithuania.
Esprominho is a Portuguese Vocational School that, even in a time of pandemic, maintained its international mobility in active, some in person and others online. But the month of September was the great return of the school to the activities of international projects that are ongoing. Between internships, joint staff and student mobility, it was possible to visit Spain, Denmark and Lithuania.
The School started September to finish the 1-month internship of a group of students in Spain – Pontevedra, with the Project Go Up! Again (no. 2019-1-PT01-KA116-060624). This was already flow number four, but Esprominho did not give up and sent, still in the same month, a new group of students for a new 1-month internship, in Lugo – Spain, also with the Go Up! Again Project. Besides being able to do an internship in the area they are studying, these students also made many visits to other cities and monuments, as well as meeting new people and cultures.
Between the 12th and 18th September, Esprominho marked its presence in Copenhagen – Denmark, with the Project Act it! Film it! Share it! (no. 2019-1-BG01-KA229-062269_2), represented by five students and a trainer. This mobility aimed for participants to become more involved in the world of theatre and explore cultural heritage. The students relate that it was a very positive experience, both on a personal and cultural level.
The Esprominho community had the opportunity to travel to another European Union country and visit Lithuania, with two different projects: Butterfly Effect to Maths with STEM (no. 2020-1-LT01-KA229-077854_6) and Inlesson (no. 2019-1-LT01-KA202-060758). In Butterfly five staff members from the School, in the area of Technologies and Informatics and Mathematics, participated in the first mobility, in Šiauliai, between 19 and 25 September. It was a short-term joint staff training event where they learned about mathematics related programs: Desmos and Geogebra. The aim of this project is to find a new way of teaching and learning mathematics, allowing students to integrate their mathematical knowledge more into real life.Besides the staff developing professional skills, they were also culturally enriched by the interaction with the other partners from Latvia, Turkey, Croatia and Romania, and by the visits to museums and monuments of the capital – Vilnius. Then, from 26 September to 1 October, four Esprominho beauty trainers travelled to Kaunas – Lithuania for the 3rd Short-term Joint Staff Training Event of the Inlesson Project (no. 2019-1-LT01-KA202-060758). The main objective of this project is to improve the teaching process in the beauty sector (beautician and hairdressing) through the sharing of international experiences and the use of digital technologies for a more innovative teaching practice.
September was the month of hope for a return to normality in the Erasmus world. Esprominho will keep this rhythm and enter 2022 with more projects and international mobilities to provide its students, trainers and staff with opportunities for professional, personal and cultural growth. The school was already missing the trips, the contact with other cultures, the exchange of knowledge and experiences that Erasmus provides. The European Club of Esprominho is ready to embrace, again, the adventures of international projects inside and outside Portugal, with the promise of always improving the quality of training in your school!
