On April 3rd 2017 AFP Colline Astigiane celebrated the closing ceremony of the mobility project FEARLESS TRAINING. Among the many project already carried out in the past decade, Fearless Training has been the first one awarded via the Erasmus+ accreditation (VET mobility Charter). The project involved 75 students in a 4 weeks training at host companies in Malta, Palma de Mallorca, Caceres, Bochum and Dresden.
To celebrate the success of the project the Commissioner Marianne Thyssen recorded a video message to congratulate with AFP, the students and their families also inviting others to join VET as a source for many possibilities in life. During her speech the Commissioner also took advantage for launching the new Erasmus PRO initiative that will allow VET students to perform long term work placements abroad (from 6 up to 12 months).
The event was attended by 175 participants most of whom from local VET centres who have never been very active in the field of mobility and they have shown their interest in opening up their VET offer to this new possibility.
The Fearless Training project provided extremely good results both in terms of mere enhancement of pre acquired skills and competences but also in terms of employment since may host companies, especially in Germany have decided to hire the trainees as soon as they will complete their studies in June 2017.
