This research project aims to support original research carried out from a transnational perspective on the impact evaluation of major policies or strategies carried out by Member States in the context of their National Action Plans against poverty and social exclusion.
It is also expected to identify good practice and provide expert advice as to how policy and strategy to counter poverty and social exclusion can be made more effective.
Aims & Objectives
The project aims to support original research carried out from a transnational perspective on the impact of major policies or strategies carried out by Member States in the context of their National Action Plans against poverty and social exclusion. It is also expected to identify good practice and provide expert advice as to how policy and strategy to counter poverty and social exclusion can be made more effective.
The research activities focus on:
* the policies and strategies included in the NAPs/incl which address lifelong learning for the above target groups;
* other policies that refer directly to the target groups in the NAPs/incl, such as employment, social insurance, culture etc
* the policies adopted by national authorities to implement and support further the NAPs;
* the mechanisms for the implementation of these policies.
The final deliverable of the project will be a Synthesis Report that will make a comparative analysis of the research findings, identify good practice and make recommendations on how LLL may be used, in synergy with other policies, to have a short-term and long-term impact on inclusion, placing emphasis on the target groups of the study.
Duration
The project is implemented from December 1, 2005 to November 31, 2006.
