Around 50 participants coming from the 15 MOSAIC partner organisations attended the second MOSAIC WP Leaders’ Meeting and enthusiastically participated in plenary and parallel sessions to discuss the activities and results that are currently being developed in the project, aimed to foster Vocational Excellence in the Arts & Crafts sectors! The meeting hosted by OMNIA.
During 2 days, partners were able to address the main activities being conducted under each MOSAIC Work Package (WP), including WP6 Dissemination and Impact, led by EfVET.
In addition to the overview of the sectoral training modules (Art, Design and Industry, Furniture and Wood, and Precious Metals and Jewellery), and transversal modules (Entrepreneurship, Digitalisation, Social Inclusion) that are being developed for VET teachers and students, partners also had the opportunity to:
- Get to know the Moodle platform that is being developed to host MOSAIC training modules and material, and discuss about the issuance of micro-credentials;
- Address the structure and activities of the future European Arts & Crafts Observatory, aimed at VET schools, companies and other relevant stakeholders from Arts & Crafts sectors;
- Identify the elements and categories to be collected for the future MOSAIC Catalogue of Mobility Programmes;
- Discuss the need to foster the Sustainability of MOSAIC results and outcomes, while complying with a Quality Assurance framework to ensure their relevance and usability;
- Make and overview of the tasks required to conduct the next phase of Research, with VET schools that conduct Research and Development (R&D) activities;
- Get information about the study visit to the Canadian partner CÉGEP/INOVEM/ENME, in October this year.
EfVET is organising, together with MOSAIC project coordinator, SEPR (and with contributions from all partners) the International Skills Performance (ISP), and event in the form of Hackathon aimed to celebrate and to promote Arts & Crafts and to improve the attractiveness of these sectors’ professions to students, while improving students’ sensibility towards environmental sustainability applied to Arts & Crafts. The ISP will take place in Lyon (FR) in the week between September 9th and 13th (in parallel with the CoP CoVEs Forum, and with the final WorldSkills competition), and will count with participation of Students and Accompanying Persons coming from MOSAIC VET partners, and Experts coming from the remaining partner organisations.
During a parallel session held in the last day of the meeting, EfVET discussed with partners the criteria for selecting the Experts to become involved in the next meetings for organising the ISP. This is an ongoing process, but the results of this parallel session allowed to identify the areas of expertise required from these professionals.
Overall, MOSAIC WP Leaders’ Meeting was very fruitful and provided partners enough resources and material to work for the development of the next outcomes of the project.
