Santiago García was the Spanish National Representative from 2014 to 2016 and EfVET President from September 2016 to August 2018. Those two years were full of great experiences and hard work in his memories: “It was the time when, in collaboration with the European Commission, the platform of VET providers, VET4EU2, gave birth to the European Vocational Skills Week, one of the most successful events in the field of VET. At the same time, we started to change EfVET structure, a task now at full speed in the hands of the present board.”
Having the opportunity to replace Peter Hodgson was an honour and a pleasure in his opinion: “I am very grateful to all the members who allowed me to be president. My presidency gave me the chance to meet fantastic people all across Europe, to participate in decisions helping to place VET where it should be, as a first choice, and to work with a committed team inside EfVET. I tried to do it with all my passion, and I am sure the people now in charge of EfVET will continue working for the good of VET in Europe and the rest of the world.”
