We have the pleasure to invite you to SKILLMAN International Conference, to be held in Brussels on 27th November 2015.
SKILLMAN is a Sector Skills Alliance for Advanced Manufacturing for the Transport Sector, promoted in partnership with a team of industrial players, including Jaguar Land Rover, FIAT Research Centre and SAS, Scandinavian Airlines Systems, in cooperation with research centres, education and awarding bodies, with the support of the Executive Agency for Education and Culture of the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme.
The Sector Skills Alliance aims at detecting the skills needs and jointly designing educational programmes and qualifications in line with current and emerging technologies, providing solutions to industry led demand for skills and competencies.
The three main priority areas targeted by the educational curricula and qualifications to be developed by SKILLMAN are:
– Robotics and automated production lines
– Wireless technologies and Industry 4.0
– Composite and lightweight materials
Several stakeholders and key players will engage in discussions on skills needs and innovative educational solutions. Mr Felix Rohn from DG EMPL as well as Mr Andre Richier from DG GROW have confirmed their participation in the conference, focusing respectively on the aims and activities of Sector Skills Alliances and on the skills needs arising from Key Enabling Technologies.
Participation to the conference is free of charge although places are limited.
