#SocialEU – A survey for a better communication

A new way of dissemination of European projects can give a renewed visibility to the message of European values. One of the main tools for dissemination, especially from the moment when communication necessarily moves to the digital environment, is social networks.

There is a growing awareness among project managers of the new potential due to new media, and of the need to broaden their skills to better juggle the many new functions, targets and strategies connected to new channels.

Social networks are the new channel for communication. The information therein has the chance to reach millions of people in a second, creating new possibilities but also high risk if the information is not correct or vehiculated properly.

Training European project managers, particularly those working in Erasmus+ KA2, on better use of the social network is key to allow Europe to spread its messages and values, reach more people with the opportunities offered and increase awareness at the local level of what Europe is doing for the communities in each member state.

Social EU wants to develop and test an innovative training approach and methodology for EU project managers on how to best use social media in order to reach a wider and diverse audience with their project.

To reach project objectives, the partnership is composed of 5 partners from 5 European countries, representing the sectors Erasmus+ is focusing its action and of all the potential profiles of EU project partners (HEI organisation, VET provider, SMEs consultant, Schools, Associations working with young people).

The project research is already started and it intends to involve as many project managers as possible through a simple and quick survey that investigates how social media are actually used to disseminate European projects and which competencies need improvement.

We invite you to fill and share this survey to have a more accurate overview of the EU Project Managers’ perception of the dissemination procedure and the Managers’ required qualification and skills.
