EfVET is delighted to announce the signature of a MoU with the EVTA and EVBB
On Friday 9 June 2023, the European Forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (EfVET), the European Association Institutes Vocational Training (EVBB) and the European Vocational Training Association (EVTA) have announced a new cooperation agreement to provide the framework for cooperation with the aim of creating a common European sectoral voice for training providers in technical, vocational and professional education.
The agreement, in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), was signed by the EfVET Vice-President Stefano Tirati, the EVTA President Giorgio Sbrissa and the EVBB President Thiemo Fojkar in the framework of the EVBB Annual Conference 2023 which took place in Uppsala, Sweden, from June 8-10, 2023.
The key objective of this Memorandum of Understanding is to foster and establish a strong partnership between the three VET Associations in order to be acknowledged as a joint representative of the VET Sector, bringing the voice of VET Practitioners at the highest levels of policy making :
- The needs identified by industry and society in accordance with the principles of an education for lifelong learning;
- Collaborative education and research activities by the Participants, including staff mobility, as well as, collaboration in the exchange of information, research, and best practices.
Closer dialogue and cooperation among VET Associations is a promising move for a more impactful cooperation with European authorities and key stakeholders, wider opportunities for VET-Business and Industry partnerships, stronger evidence based awareness raising campaigns.
