February: the 6th consecutive month of Esprominho participating in international projects
Since September 2021 until February 2022 Esprominho participated in 19 mobilities of several international projects of which it is part, supported by the Erasmus+ Programme. February was the 6th consecutive month of mobilities such as student exchanges, job-shadowing and international internships.
Esprominho is a Portuguese Vocational School that has actively participated in international projects, providing its students, teachers and staff with new learning, development of linguistic, personal and cultural skills. Since September 2021 the school has not stopped and has already carried out mobilities in Italy, Belgium, Lithuania, Turkey, Hungary, Denmark, Spain, Poland, Serbia and received other partners of the projects in Portugal.
February was the 6th consecutive month of Esprominho in this adventure, which the Erasmus+ Programme guarantees. Despite this being the shortest month of the year, the school managed to organise itself and integrate four mobilities of four different projects in its calendar, at the same time as it had students doing an international internship.
They started the month in Italy, between the cities of Deruta and Marsciano, with an exchange of students from the CIAK Project – Cinema Didactic for the development of teacher and student’s skills (no.2019-1-IT02-KA229-063232_3). This mobility included 5 students and a trainer for activities related to the theme “The seventh art as an educational tool”. In the week of 13-19 February, another 5 students and two trainers participated in a student exchange, this time in Turkey, in the city of Izmir, with the Butterfly Effect to Maths with STEM Project (no. 2020-1-LT01-KA229-077854_6). This is a project dedicated to mathematics and so students learned to work with the GeoGebra and Desmos programs throughout the week. February was also a month dedicated to the start of new projects, namely the Embrace Dementia in an Online Environment project (no. 2021-1-BE02-KA220-VET-000025664). This mobility was the project’s first Transnational Project Meeting, and took place in Belgium, in Mol, with the project coordinators and representatives from each partner country, namely Portugal, Belgium, Estonia, the Netherlands, and Spain. Already ending the month, Esprominho sent 6 students and 2 teachers to Serbia – Kragujevac, through the CCE Project – Common Culture for Europe (No.2019-1-LV01-KA229-060360_3). Throughout this month Esprominho referred two students for a 3-month internship, in Spain – Lugo, through the Go Up! Again Project no 2019-1-PT01-KA116-060624).
Esprominho works every day to ensure a future of excellence for its students. It is not only in a classroom context that students are trained, but through a set of experiences that will make them develop other skills. The Erasmus+ Programme has been an ally of the school in this process, contributing with cultural adventures, exchange of ideas, learning in several areas and unique experiences. Esprominho walks for the 7th, 8th, 9th… consecutive month in international projects, because this is the only way to provide our students with new knowledge, new adventures, new ways of seeing the world.
