This is what a pitch at an EfVET conference can cause
The Erasmus+ project ‘European e-Transport Network for VET’ (ETN4VET), in which 14 European project partners from 11 countries are involved, impressively demonstrates what a pitch at an EfVET conference can cause and – as a result of this – how cooperation can work. Vocational teachers from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy met each other from 27 – 29 September 2022 in Gera (Germany) to exchange their best practices in electric vehicle education (methodologies and content) and strengthen their network for further sharing (including staff and student mobilities) in the future.
The Chamber of Skilled Crafts for Eastern Thuringia organised this three-day working and networking event in Gera in close cooperation with the Staatliche Berufsbildende Schule (SBBS) Technik.
During the working meeting, the host partners from Gera and BBS-Syke (Lower Saxony, Germany) presented and demonstrated their educational methodology and content for automotive technicians in the field of electric and hybrid vehicle technology. The participating teachers – of course – got the opportunity to experience, discussed and evaluate what was presented.
Another important item during this event was to study and analyse the host and their own network in order to stay in close contact with the market, share the latest developments and thus keep their education up-to-date. As a result, strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities and recommendations for further improving the network and education within the framework of the existing possibilities were worked out together.
Invited speakers from regional companies, such as e-solutions GmbH and Electude provided the participants with informative as well as practice-oriented knowledge and presented their technical developments and offer in the field of electric mobility. An excursion to FRAMO GmbH where trucks are converted to electric drive, gave the experts an interesting insight into the field of emission-free drive technology.
The project results are continuously made available on an online platform to all those directly involved but also to interested experts. If you are interested in access to this platform, please contact d.vanwieren@aventus.nl.
The Erasmus+ partnership project has a duration of two and a half years. The implementation is subsidised with funds from the European Commission and is registered under the project number: 2021-1-NL01-KA220-VET-000025512.
