Empowering SMEs in the tourism sector with Innovative Digital Solutions
TOURINN-Act project shapes a pivotal role in terms of transforming the European Tourism sector by enhancing digital and innovative capacities of SMEs. This initiative which is Co-funded by the COSME programme of the European Union, seeks to modernize tourism experiences, improve sustainability, as well as to ensure long-term profitability for tourism enterprises across Europe.
TOURINN-Act is a strategic project designed to support the digital transformation and transition of SMEs operating in the touristic sector. With a consortium of six organizations from five different EU countries (Romania, Cyprus, Italy, Spain and Greece) with Eurosuccess Consulting being the Cypriot representative, the project addresses the critical need for digitalization and innovation within the tourism sector, which is challenged by the rapid technological advancements and the continuous changing consumer expectations.
The project’s core activities include transnational cooperation and capacity building activities which aim at providing enterprises with the necessary tools and knowledge to adopt and implement digital solutions. Through two rounds of open-calls, TOURINN provided financial support in the form of vouchers to 63 SMEs. The vouchers, valued at 10,000 € each, have been used to implement a wide range of digital solutions, including influencer marketing, website development, digital marketing, e-commerce, app development etc.
As the project approaches its conclusion, the consortium is preparing for the final Transnational Project Meeting in Cyprus, which will bring together all partners to review the project’s state, it’s outcomes and share insights. Furthermore, the meeting will be crucial for stating the project’s achievements and setting the stage for its long-term sustainability. In addition, a peer-learning workshop is scheduled during the 2nd day of the Meeting in Cyprus. The workshop will be hybrid, thus, giving the option to participate both physically and online.
The webinar will be open to all stakeholders in the tourism sector, providing an opportunity to showcase the project’s successes, best practices, as well as to discuss the future of digitalization and sustainability. The webinar will also serve as a channel to widely disseminate project results across Europe.
Concluding, TOURINN-Act project is shaping a new path for digital transformation, innovation and sustainability in the European tourism sector. By empowering SMEs with the tools to innovate, the project contributes to the modernization of the tourism industry.
The upcoming TPM and peer-learning workshop will form the basis in ensuring project’s long-term impact and to further inspire innovation and collaboration across the tourism industry. Stay tuned and find out more about the project on our Social Media profiles here: Facebook LinkedIn
