The VR4M project, funded by the European Union for a 30-month period, aims to connect all stakeholders involved in vocational mobility—learners, alumni, mobility coordinators, sending organizations, and hosting organizations—through an interactive platform where everyone can engage.
Building on the success of our previous Mobilitimeline project, developed in collaboration with VET centers in France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, and Spain, VR4M leverages online tools designed to streamline pedagogical and administrative support for European mobility projects. Mobilitimeline enhanced the experience for both learners and mobility coordinators, laying the groundwork for the next step: supporting hosting organizations more effectively.
Why VR4M?
Hosting organizations, including companies and VET schools, play a vital role in learners’ vocational training. However, they often face challenges such as:
- Integrating learners without sufficient resources or tools
- Providing quality support throughout all stages of mobility
- Ensuring learners understand workplace safety rules, which vary across countries
- Offering practical guidance on accommodation, transport, and local logistics
- Engaging former learners as ambassadors to support new participants
Learners also face challenges adapting to a new city or country, often struggling to navigate local logistics and integrate effectively.
Our Approach
To address these challenges, the initiative focuses on sharing good practices and providing practical tools for all stakeholders involved in vocational mobility. This includes guidance and training for hosting organizations, resources and information for learners, and a network to connect hosts with learners and experienced alumni. The aim is to make mobility experiences smoother, safer, and more effective for everyone involved. Impact By bridging these gaps, VR4M strengthens support for hosting organizations, improves the mobility experience for learners, and fosters a more connected, sustainable European VET mobility ecosystem.
The project is set to be completed by April 2027 and will undergo thorough testing beforehand. Upon completion, it will be made available to all stakeholders interested in advancing European mobility initiatives.
