Celebrating 1 year of Partnership with UNESCO-UNEVOC

In January, Sylvia Liuti – VP Projects & Partnerships and Enrique Blanco – Development & Project Manager joined Friederich Huebler – Head of UNESCO-UNEVOC and Kenny Muscat – Programme Officer Innovation and Excellence in TVET in a hybrid meeting to review our partnership actions in 2025 and define a workplan for 2026.

It was an insightful and productive conversation. Highlights from 2025 included the addition of Innovative and Promising Practices in TVET from EfVET members to UNESCO-UNEVOC’s online library and the dissemination of new UNESCO-UNEVOC initiatives such as the World Youth Skills Survey and Global Awards for Innovation in TVET.

In light of the Global Europe pillar of the next MFF, international perspectives in TVET are becoming essential for the EU TVET competitiveness and readiness. In 2026, we aim to continue our joint advocacy efforts by collaborating in key areas for TVET such as the “Towards a Global TVET Agenda”, artificial intelligence readiness, and actions in the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Programme (GESI).

Many thanks to UNESCO-UNEVOC team for hosting us in their office in Bonn, Germany. We look forward to continuing to support each other’s actions and advocate for inclusive excellence in TVET systems!
