How can vocational education and training prepare learners not only for the labour market but also for a sustainable future?
This is the challenge that the Entreled project, funded by Erasmus+, is addressing through a combination of innovation, collaboration, and green entrepreneurship. The project focuses on equipping VET learners with entrepreneurial skills aligned with the circular economy, while also empowering VET teachers with the tools and knowledge they need to support and guide their students.
From Development to Practice
The project brings together a dynamic consortium from Lithuania, Greece, Italy, and Spain. Their shared mission: to modernise VET practices through inclusive, digital, and sustainability-driven resources.
Over the past months, the Entreled team has been busy designing and refining a set of interactive digital tools. These include:
- A collection of five educational games, each tackling key aspects of sustainability and entrepreneurship
- A self-paced e-learning course for VET teachers, made up of eight thematic modules covering circular economy, green business practices, and inclusive teaching practices, with particular emphasis on assisting learners with learning difficulties.
Now, Entreled has reached its most impactful stage: the pilot phase. Running from 12 to 31 May 2025, this phase invites teachers and students across Europe to test the tools in real classroom settings. Learners engage with the games, while teachers explore the course and apply the resources with their students.
Why Entreled Matters
Entreled isn’t just another toolkit – it’s a practical response to the growing need for future-oriented, inclusive VET education. By integrating the principles of the circular economy into vocational learning, it helps bridge the gap between skills development and global sustainability goals.
It also demonstrates how digital education can be accessible and meaningful, particularly for learners with fewer opportunities.
Above all, it offers educators and learners across Europe a powerful opportunity to reshape vocational training into a greener, fairer, and more entrepreneurial journey – one that reflects the needs of our time and the aspirations of the next generation.
