In an era where ESG criteria dominate global priorities, Vocational Education and Training plays a decisive role in delivering accredited training for sustainable and ethical practices. With increasing EU requirements for ESG reporting under the 2023 CSRD Directive and growing demands for reliable data from the sustainable investment market, enterprises need skilled professionals who understand compliance and responsibility.
In October, the Erasmus+ KA2 project ESG4VET: Adapting VET to Meet the Needs of ESG Compliance and Twin Transition via an Inclusive and Sustainable Approach Supported by AI-Powered Digital Tools officially started. The project empowers VET trainers and labour-market professionals through a validated upskilling programme that supports ESG adoption.
ESG4VET strengthens green skills, promotes digital transformation, and fosters inclusive, eco-friendly practices in SMEs. Through its practical and transferable tools, the project helps build responsible, sustainable practices and provides a model that VET systems across Europe can adopt to meet ESG challenges.
