IUS Lifelong Learning Center participation in the online EfVET Thematic Team Meeting
Thanks to the INTERVET Western Balkans project, IUS Lifelong Learning Center participated in the online EfVET Thematic Team Meeting on “Internationalisation and Learning Mobility”, held on June 3-4, 2020.
During this two-day event, we were able to see and hear interesting presentations, lectures, and participate in a significant number of workshops. This was truly a unique opportunity for all of us to exchange ideas, experiences, opinions, and give our impact in finding ways and models of learning in unforeseen and now protracted situations, such as the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus.
IUS Life representatives Mirsada Mehremic and Hilal Karic participated in the sessions as moderators and active participants.
We are very glad that Prof. Sabina Hasanbasic from Vocational High School, Kakanj, and Prof. Azra Sulic, Expert Associate for Secondary Education, from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Una-Sana Canton, B&H; also took part in this professionally organised event.
Prof. Azra Sulic shared with us her impressions on the EfVET/IntervetWB project and TT event: “Taking part in the EfVET event and organised workshops on the 3rd and 4th of June, 2020 was a great opportunity to exchange experience and opinions about various topics when it comes to Vocational Education and Training.
It gave me the opportunity to listen to interesting experiences and situations in different countries. I found it useful for me as a professional working in the educational sector in secondary education since we all strive to same or even identical goals, but also struggle with similar challenges such as motivation of teachers and insufficient opportunities for teacher training.
It was interesting to hear that the issue of old or inadequate technical equipment was also something that for example most Western Balkan countries still have difficulties with. Also, some experience that other participants talked about was something we also deal with on a daily basis.
The sustainability of international activities of this project would be beneficial for all participants in the project, especially for Western Balkan countries. In the end, I would say that I was very satisfied and I need to point out that this experience brought some new insight into VET for me.”
