Founded in 1892 by the St. Gallen Commercial Association, the school has evolved into today’s St. Gallen Commercial Vocational and Further Education Centre (kbzsg). Since 2002, it has been under cantonal sponsorship. More than 1,700 students attend programmes in commerce and retail, supported by 100 teachers delivering over 70,000 lessons annually. Its continuing education department, Academy St.Gallen, attracts over 1,800 learners yearly and collaborates with 400 lecturers from the business sector.
