The LLLPlatform network represents schools, universities, parents’ associations, VET institutions, adult education, youth, youth workers, teachers, volunteers and other education and training centres. LLLPlatform actively engages its network to influence thepolicy work of the European Institutions.By actively participating in key networks, leveraging the expertise of Treasurer Jon Harding and theSecretariat staff, and focusing on key policy areas, we can strengthen the integration of a lifelong learning perspective within VET and education policies. This will help to create a more equitable and prosperous society where everyone has the opportunity to continue learning throughout their lives. Our commitment to continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making will ensure that our efforts are effective and impactful. Furthermore, EfVET was a member of the Erasmus+ coalition initiated by the Lifelong Learning Platform and the European Youth Forum and provided regular feedback with the Erasmus + programme. EfVET staff, EfVET members and the LLLPlatform cooperated on several occasions on the preparation of events, study visits, most importantly the Lifelong Learning Week in Brussels. Last year during the LLL Week organized a policy debate focus on Cybersecurity. In July 2025, EfVET Director, Secretary General and EfVET members took part in the LLLPlatform High-Level Policy Debate hosted at the European Parliament, which marked a key milestone in the development of the new LLLP Manifesto to be adopted in 2025. Building on its previous edition, the new Manifesto sets a clear vision for inclusive, resilient, and future-ready lifelong learning systems across Europe. The debate gathered high-profile stakeholders and policymakers who welcomed the direction of the new document.
