Euro4VET is a Jean Monnet initiative aimed to support Vocational Education and Training (VET) schools teaching EU related subjects by upskilling/reskilling educators on the most recent pedagogical approaches developed in the project with support from VET schools and teachers and university part of the project consortium.
Euro4VET aims to improve the learning process of teachers and learners through the use of digital tools and creative pedagogical approaches, the basis of the main expected results of this project:
– Training Course for Teachers (rooted on micro-credentials);
– Online Training Course for Learners;
– EU Virtual Skills Competition, implemented through digital gamification, with participation from the teachers and learners who participated in the pilots carried out in the project to test its Training Courses.
With its results and outcomes, Euro4VET (considered by the European Commission as a best practice) aims to:
– Increase VET teachers’ awareness for the importance of EU citizenship, so they can provide to their learners at least 4 positive impacts it brings to them;
– Engage learners in the celebration of Day of Europe through a set of activities carried out in the VET partner schools, aimed to produce results gathered on a “Days of Europe” kit, replicable by other VET schools across Europe;
– Attract the active participation and contributions of teachers and learners for the recording of podcasts addressing key EU issues, available on the “3 Minutes of Europe” Euro4VET Spotify channel;
– Take teachers and learners to visit key EU institutions, as a way of knowing, in person, how those institutions function and the impact they have on EU citizens’ lives (including their own).
