Digital Peer Review for green and digital VET is a KA2 project that aims at improving the quality and attractiveness of VET education by reinforcing self-assessment and peer assessment competencies for managers and trainers and to build a Community of Practice among VET institutions and professionals implementing the European Peer Review methodology

Peer review is a way to do external evaluation, and it supports the development of activities and quality assurance and improvement in the assessed institutions. In many countries (FI, SK, Sl, IT) the peer review process has become established as a tool for quality assurance and quality improvement. Nevertheless, PR for VET was created in 2007, all countries use the same basis of methodology even now. Lithuania and Italy already implemented national projects for methodology adaptation to the local context. However the methodology includes tool box and quality areas that require to be revised in light of the new framework and strategy for education in Europe. During the COVID-19 pandemic, most countries started more frequently to work online and used other digital tools. Project Digital PR aims to digitise the PR toolbox, put transnational and experience into the process, and help peers with the evaluation process, also by mainstreaming digital and green dimension throughout the whole process of quality assurance.

Partners from LT, IT, and PT are experts in Peer review, were involved in many projects on quality assurance topics, and participated in creating national methodologies, by adapting the European PR to the different education domains; for many years, they have been promoting this topic in Europe. EfVET, as the biggest VET providers’ association, is also familiar with the topic and wants to promote Peer reviews in its network, so as to achieve the expected target at EU level.
