The VET Knowledge Transfer Awards celebrate their fifth edition, promoted by FPEmpresa and Grupo Esprinet

  • The Awards strengthen their reach by maintaining a fourth prize and achieving record figures in digital outreach.
  • More than 1,200 participants and 166 projects submitted across all editions.

The Association of Vocational Education and Training Centres FPEmpresa and Grupo Esprinet are launching a new edition of the VET Knowledge Transfer Awards. With this fifth call, the focus is once again placed on women and their presence in those Vocational Education and Training professional families where they remain underrepresented. The awards are open to any public, state-subsidised or private educational centre that is a member of FPEmpresa.

Since their first edition in 2022, the awards have welcomed more than 1,200 participants and distributed a total of €48,000, promoting the emergence of new female talent in VET programmes with low female representation. In addition, VET students are able to develop key skills and competencies to become competitive professionals.

To date, a total of 166 projects have taken part in the VET Knowledge Transfer Awards, presenting innovative initiatives aligned with the 2030 Agenda Goals. All of them reflect a strong commitment to building more inclusive societies that promote sustainable economic growth, social cohesion and justice, in a context of peace and respect for the environment.

The application period to submit a participation proposal will open on 17 November 2025 and close on 8 January 2026. Subsequently, between 12 January and 23 February 2026, each team will design a technological solution contributing to the achievement of at least one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) and additionally promoting gender equality, in line with SDG 5.

Continuous growth after each edition

Following the success in disseminating the projects from the 4th edition, FPEmpresa and Grupo Esprinet have decided to maintain a fourth award for the second consecutive year, allowing an additional educational centre to be recognised for its work.

More than 170,000 views and 54,000 likes attest to the growth of the VET Knowledge Transfer Awards and the positive impact achieved by centres through their projects. Thanks to social media, teams are able to share their ideas with a wider audience and highlight female participation in the participating VET programmes.

With this objective, the VET Knowledge Transfer Awards aim to strengthen the commitment of FPEmpresa member centres to the challenges set out by the United Nations (UN).

Finally, the four winning teams will be awarded prize money of €5,500, €3,300, and two third prizes of €1,850, respectively. The winning teams will be announced on 17 April 2026, marking the start of the dissemination phase for their initiatives.
