Euro4VET is a Jean Monnet initiative funded by Erasmus+, aimed to foster the awareness of VET Teachers and Learners for the importance that European Union (EU) Institutions have on their daily lives, and how they can be active European citizens, fully aware of their rights and obligations.
With a duration of 3 years (2023 – 2026), Euro4VET gathers 7 partners: INSIGNARE, coordinator of the project, and Instituto Politécnico de Leiria / School of Education and Social Sciences (Portugal), KPEDU (Finland), EfVET (Belgium), Escola Pia Mataró (Spain), SABA Private School (North Macedonia) and Şehit Ramazan Canıgür Vocational & Technical Anatolian High School (Türkiye).
Together, Euro4VET partners have developed, so far:
- Training course for VET teachers and VET learners on the EU’s history, values and institutions, rooted on a modular / micro-credentials approach;
- Kit “Day of Europe”, comprised o videos, posters and other materials developed by the learners part of Euro4VET partner schools, with support from their teachers, to celebrate the Day of Europe (May 9th), between 2024 and 2026;
- Virtual EU Skills Competition, with specific quizzes and exercises to test learners’ know-how, based on the contents of the project’s training course, which winners traveled to Brussels for a study visit to EU institutions, hosted by EfVET;
- Euro4VET “3 Minutes of Europe” podcast, with episodes focused on relevant EU issues, recorded by VET learners and teachers, available in all languages of the partnership (available at https://open.spotify.com/show/61W91pFD7pE54ELs3Ljldc).
These and other results of the project, as well the main achievements of Euro4VET, were discussed during the project’s final meeting, held between June 15th and 18th in the beautiful Turkish city of Eskişehir.
Hosted by Şehit Ramazan Canıgür Vocational & Technical Anatolian High School, partners dedicated these days to discuss the impact and sustainability of the project’s outcomes, the required preparations for the project’s final report, and to prepare for the upcoming Euro4VET Conference, to be held in the scope of EfVET Conference, in October (more news about Euro4VET Conference will be provided, soon!) for which partners spent some time preparing a surprise!
During this meeting, partners also had the chance to visit the city on an intercultural exchange – one of the core aspects of all Erasmus+ funded projects.
