Between November 5th and 6th 2024, all partners of “BIRGIT” gathered in Brussels for the last time to participate in the final meeting of the project, one of its milestones.
EfVET hosted Forma.Azione (IT), GISIG (IT), Asociación de la Industria Navarra (ES), University North (HR) and Novogit (SE), under the coordination of Ocellus (SE).
During this one and half day meeting, all partners focused on the main achievements reached so far in the project, and on the next steps to take before its conclusion, in January 2025.
A series of successful Multiplier Events were conducted by some of the partners (including EfVET) focused on the results of BIRGIT, namely the training materials developed and that are tailored for professionals working in the Construction, Engineering and Architecture areas, for students, and for educators looking for updated teaching resources related to the integration of BIM and GIS technologies. During the next weeks, GISIC and Forma.Azione will conduct their own Multiplier Events in Italy, closing this dissemination that aims to promote the use of BIRGIT training modules and materials to address a need identified by BIRGIT of having VET and Higher VET courses that integrate BIM and GIS.
In addition to the overview of the Multiplier Events already carried out and still to be held, the agenda of this meeting also included discussions over the results of the pilot sessions dedicated to “Testing and updating of learning material” (Project Result 4), which relied on the piloting of all learning materials developed by partners with students and teachers, and that allowed to conclude that there are some materials that need to be adjusted by partners to better convey the topics that those materials address.
Next steps: to conclude all Multiplier Events promised by BIRGIT, to make the necessary adjustments to the training materials, and to update them at BIRGIT website.
All BIRGIT Training Materials are available at the project’s website.

But this final meeting was not just about work; all partners had the chance to visit the Experience Europe exhibition centre, a permanent interactive exhibition focused on the European Commission’s core work, priorities, policies and values.
