Across Europe, the care sector faces labour shortages, ageing populations and growing demand for long-term care, while many migrant women have valuable but often unrecognised care-related experience.
CARE-ABILITY responds by supporting migrant women through accessible vocational training, micro-credentials and clearer pathways into the socio-healthcare sector.
One of the project’s first results is the CARE-ABILITY Best Practices Handbook. It brings together policy insights, recommendations and examples from Austria, Greece, Slovenia and Spain. The handbook highlights mentoring, language support, recognition of prior learning, employer cooperation and flexible training.
A central focus is the flexible 50-hour micro-credential model, combining guided online learning with autonomous work for adults unable to follow traditional training routes.
As an associated partner of CARE-ABILITY, p-consulting is proud to support the dissemination and visibility of the project and its results. Working alongside EMVIO, the Greek project partner, we help promote more inclusive and accessible care-training pathways for migrant women across Europe.
