CYANOTYPES is a strategic project focused on the future skills of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs), aimed to support learning systems across Europe to cope with the rapid changes in the CCI labour market.
With a highly experienced partnership, of which EfVET is part, CYANOTYPES has developed a practical Train-the-Trainer Framework that supports educators, networks, creative professionals and policy makers navigating social, digital and green transitions while understanding, developing and adapting future competences in the CCIs.
With this Framework, users can understand and anticipate skills needs, explore transversal competences for urgent and future skills needs, and engage in co-creative processes to identify and develop new learning pathways adapted to their own contexts (for detailed information about CYANOTYPES Framework, please access to this video).
In order to support users implementing the CYANOTYPES Framework, the project also developed a comprehensive Toolkit containing all necessary training materials and quality assurance templates.
Given the relevance and applicability of CYANOTYPES Framework and Toolkit, more than 50 pilots were carried out by VET schools, universities and CCI-related networks internal and external to the project, and are planned to be carried out in the next months (more details available here, for inspiration).
Now that the project is approaching its conclusion (August 31st, 2026), CYANOTYPES website provides to its visitors with a new section – CYANOTYPES Ecosystem – that allows all stakeholders, including those operating in Education, in the CCIs and in Policy Making to access to all of the results and outcomes produced in the project in a coherent way. By accessing to this section, VET Providers can select the option dedicated to “Learning Organisations” and, inside of this sub-section, they can explore all of those results and outcomes (organised in a visual color coding approach), and understand how to use them in their teaching and learning pathways, for the benefit of their learners.
Due to the cross-sectoral approach of its Framework and Toolkit, VET providers with educational offer in the CCI fields and in other socio-economic areas can be part of the wide community of Educators that the project has created across Europe.
If you are interested in being part of this community to cooperate and get involved in CYANOTYPES pilots, please contact EfVET at contact@efvet.org, or at info@cyanotypes.website.

Creative Skills Week 2026 (Brussels, September 7th – 9th)
CYANOTYPES was the starting point of this key international event initiated back in 2024 with the main purpose of gathering stakeholders from VET, Higher Education, SMEs and social and CCI partners to exchange knowledge, innovative practices of skilling, upskilling and reskilling, under a collaborative learning environment.
This year’s edition is themed “The Difference that Makes the Difference”. EfVET will be participating in the event as full partner of CYANOTYPES and RenAIssance projects, and will be providing the VET perspective on the impact of AI in the CCIs on a session dedicated to “AI and Creativity” (September 8th).
