Helsinki, June 2026 — EfVET is delighted to formalise a new partnership with WorldSkills Europe (WSE) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by both organisations. The agreement was announced on 11 June 2026 in Helsinki, during the WorldSkills Europe General Assembly 2026, which EfVET was honoured to attend as an official observer.
The partnership brings together two complementary European networks around a shared mission: to strengthen the attractiveness, quality, and excellence of vocational education and training by promoting skills, innovation, and professional development. By bridging policy, practice, and skills competitions, EfVET and WSE aim to better align VET with labour market needs and the skills of the future — and to support stakeholders in doing so.
Sylvia Liuti, VP Projects & Partnerships at EfVET, said: “By signing the Memorandum of Understanding with WorldSkills Europe, EfVET is continuing investing in building a strong VET providers’ association in Europe whose main ambition is to offer its members the best opportunities to progress and thrive in the VET ecosystem. Partnering with WorldSkills Europe means looking at EuroSkills Competitions as valuable opportunities to benchmark training provisions and pedagogies and use competitions to make VET more attractive and constantly focused on excellence.”
Ben Blackledge, Chair of the Board at WorldSkills Europe, added: “Through our complementary networks and areas of expertise, WorldSkills Europe and EfVET are in a prime position to collaboratively support learners, trainers, and institutions to share and celebrate best practice and ensure that TVET can be better aligned with labour market demands and future skills. We look forward to working with EfVET to strengthen the skills and TVET ecosystems across Europe.”

Attending the WSE General Assembly in Helsinki as an official observer, offer EfVET a valuable opportunity to connect with WSE members and begin shaping practical actions of collaboration. We look forward to participating in the upcoming WorldSkills events in Europe and beyond and implementing joint initiatives to advocate for VET.
