Discussions between 16 team members promoted effective coordination and collaboration to ensure the quality and successful implementation of the initiative in participating countries as well as the engagement of the VET participants.
The meeting sessions highlighted the organisation of the Eco-Digithon, introducing all submitted applications and their social, digital, and ecological dimensions. Selected projects are expected to stand out for their innovative and practical approach and align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The main goal of the Eco-Digithon is to foster collaboration with VET centers and build eco-innovation communities by connecting students and educators across #institutions with #local communities.
The national Eco-Digithons in Austria, Italy, Portugal and Spain will centre on eco-innovation, leveraged by technology in areas such as circular economy, environmental awareness, or renewable energy. This initiative aims to address real-world societal challenges by developing impactful ideas and prototypes, contributing to a sustainable future.
The winners of the national Eco-Digithons will have the opportunity to compete at the Social Hackathon Umbria 2025, including green technology experts. The eco-innovative solutions will be evaluated by an international jury to select the best projects, aligning to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their practical application to the local communities.
