What barriers currently prevent Swiss VET institutions, training companies and learners from participating more actively in European mobility and cooperation projects? Switzerland’s potential association with Erasmus+ could open up new opportunities for international mobility and partnerships in vocational education and training.
In this webinar, the authors of the “Strategic Scientific Briefing on the Levers for Swiss VET Engagement in Erasmus+ Cooperation and Mobility Initiatives” will present the main findings of the VETengage project. Commissioned by Movetia and conducted by the Swiss Observatory for Vocational Education and Training OBS SFUVET, the study examines the contextual, demand-side and programme-related barriers affecting the international engagement of Swiss VET.
The briefing also identifies practical levers for change. These include flexible formats such as blended mobility and reciprocal job swaps, tangible incentives for training companies, stronger institutional support and a gradual approach to building international partnerships.
The webinar will provide an opportunity to discuss how Swiss VET actors can prepare for future European cooperation and how internationalisation can contribute to innovation, skills development and the green and digital transitions.
The webinar is open to participants from Switzerland and across Europe who are interested in the internationalisation of vocational education and training, for example VET schools, training companies, SMEs and in-company trainers, cantonal, national and regional authorities, as well as European VET networks.
