First Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) of WINGS project

The first Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA) of WINGS project gathered all partners in Murcia (Spain), for three days, between 12 and 14 of May, 2026.

WINGS Partners

Aimed to analyse the results of the surveys implemented and the research conducted by all partners to collect Work-Based Learning (WBL) practices in the countries of the partnership (Bulgaria, Italy and Spain) and beyond, this LTTA, hosted by WINGS partner B-LIVE Red International, was also an opportunity to  identify challenges and needs identified by VET schools and companies when implementing WBL activities, and their impact on learners, and to discuss how WINGS project can address them through its different outcomes –a WBL model, modular training courses for VET teachers and in-company tutors, rooted on a micro-credential approach, and the creation of a WBL activity dedicated to learners, to be piloted by partners during the life cycle of the project.

(Summary of WINGS Survey / Research results)

What are the educational and methodological components that are necessary for effective WBL? How can the learning objectives be clearly defined? What kind of tutoring and mentoring is necessary to better support learners during their WBL experience, while ensuring inclusion and accessibility? And what about assessment and validation of competences, which tools can be used? Are micro-credentials useful in the context of WBL?

These were some of the aspects addressed by WINGS partners during the three days they met, that culminated with a decision: the project’s upcoming WBL Guideline will include descriptive information about all practices collected in this phase of the project, a glossary of terms related to WBL, and information about the skills and competences that will be addressed by WINGS training course, which align with frameworks such as the LifeComp.

B-LIVE invited a representative from FADE Fundación to talk about the model they implement to support  volunteers across Spain to develop the skills required for their social work (Talante Solidario), a moment to share experiences and to get inspiration for the project.

On the last day of this LTTA, EfVET presented the upcoming dissemination and communication activities foreseen in the project, including the first WINGS Webinar, to be held in October in the scope of EfVET WBL Working Group, and that will present the project’s WBL Model, its Guideline, and plans for the training course to be developed. More news about this session after summer!
