30th of March – Today, we celebrate the #InternationalZeroWasteDay25, a reminder that humanity’s waste crisis demands urgent action. Each year, over 2 billion tons of waste, from plastics and food to packaging and electronics, are generated, yet we are not able to manage it properly, with 2.7 billion people lacking access to proper waste collection. Find out more.
The 2025 theme “Towards zero waste in fashion and textiles” highlights a very specific perspective on one of the most underestimated sources of waste worldwide. To this aspect, many of the EfVET members active on fashion curricula are innovating their skills provision. EfVET too, via its projects focused on Arts, Creativity and Crafts has been always pointing out the importance of sustainability.

- The Blueprint @ Cyanotypes, among the other results, pointed out the relevance of new skills related to Eco-Design and sustainable production, for conscious designs, materials, and manufacturing processes that minimize waste, reduce carbon footprints, and promote sustainable consumption, echoing the principles of circular economy frameworks.
