International exchange “Light”: the VET DigiPals approach
The organisation of mobilities abroad has now also been almost completely stopped for a year due to COVID-19. As a result, many VET students are missing the opportunity to gain experience abroad during their school career.
Thanks to the VET DigiPals approach, this damage can be somewhat limited: the approach offers students and teachers in VET the opportunity to set up and share internationally and online learning experiences on a small scale.
Select a topic to your taste and serve it to and with students and/or teachers abroad. Also suitable as a starter for international mobilities or other exchange projects. Fits with all courses in technical and vocational education.
In just a few simple steps you can realise your VET DigiPals project:
- Find the learning experience you want to share
In this step you involve your (fellow) students as much as possible: together you look for a learning experience that you find interesting to share. On the website you will find some examples for inspiration.
- Briefly introduce your idea
You can quickly pass on your idea via an online form. You can find this form on the website.
- You will be supported in the further development of your idea, and a foreign partner school will be sought.
In this way a concrete planning is established.
- Do!
You organise the digital learning sharing experience, together with the foreign partner.
- You participate in a short evaluation of the experience
There will be a brief questioning of your experience in order to learn even more from this.
