Internship in Sarajevo

Joint Hosting Project – Internship in Sarajevo The one-month internship in Sarajevo went by too quickly, so on April 26th, 2024, we said goodbye to Benedetta, Linda, Lucia, Anna, Alessandro, Carla, Aurora, Francesca, and Emma. This great group of students came from high schools in the Italian province of Emilia-Romagna, from the north of Italy.

The certificate awarding ceremony took place on 26/04/2024 in the City Hall and was awarded to the students by Deputy Mayor Anja Margetic-Stakic. Mrs. Margetic-Stakic shared her inspiring life story with the students and talked to them about the importance of international exchanges, exploring different cultures, and respecting diversity. “In the world of international exchange of knowledge and experience, Sarajevo shows its openness and welcome to young people,” said Margetić Stakić. Deputy Mayor Margetic-Stakic was the first woman to compete under the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992. For her, a young swimmer and competitor, it was a unique and unrepeatable experience. IUS Life thanks the partners of this valuable project; Bravo (Bosnian Representative Association for Valuable Opportunities), Disti d.o.o. IUS IRO Office, IUS GBE, UCO IUS, Chamber of Economy FBiH and Uniser, Bologna for their exceptional support. We wish high schoolers from Italy success in their further education, and private and professional life. IUS Lifelong Learning Center International University of Sarajevo.
