WP3 – Fostering Social Inclusion
🍎 Apple Day is traditionally celebrated on October 21st each year.
🍎 As part of the activity of the project, Work Package 3, Fostering Social Inclusion In VET Systems, Prof. Jasmina Pezo and the staff and students of JU SS Hadzici celebrated this day of the queen of fruit, as the apple is commonly called.
🍎 It was a great opportunity for all of us to remember the importance of this fruit, its rich history, and its symbolism, and the celebration began with a thematic presentation, which also pointed out the importance of waste reduction, the impact of fruit on general health, etc.
🥧 In a cheerful atmosphere, the workshop participants enthusiastically participated in the preparation of crepes and the preparation and tasting of a delicious apple pie, a well-known Bosnian apple’ delicacy.
🥧 This activity was a great opportunity to promote healthy eating, and for students to learn about different varieties of apples and how to prepare treats.
đź’° For those who could not attend the workshop, a humanitarian bazaar was set up in the school hall where everyone could buy sweets.
🍎 The apples were donated by a member of the school board.
đź’° The money that was collected is aimed at buying school meals for students with a weaker financial condition.
🙏 We would like to point out that these delicious sweets were diligently prepared by Professor Maid Mujić and his hard-working students, to whom we owe special thanks, as well as to all the students and teachers who participated in the humanitarian bazaar.
🤝 When many hands come together, anything is possible, and thus the celebration of Apple Day had an inclusive character in which the students of the Individually Adapted Program – IPP actively participated.
🤝 Through joint peer-to-peer learning, hard work, and creativity, they created an event to remember and celebrate Apple Day in a very special way!
