All LOST2 Partners were hosted by The Smile of the Child, in Athens, for the fourth Partners meeting of this project, carried out on a hybrid form to allow all partners to participate and contribute in the discussions held. During two days, partners had the opportunity to discuss the results of the different pilot sessions carried out in Greece, Italy, Norway, Portugal and Spain, targeting professionals working in the field of Missing People (including investigators, police officers, firefighters, and rescue teams’ elements). These pilots allowed partners to understand if the 6 courses of the “Expert in the Research of Missing People and Children” qualification (developed in the scope of LOST2, and that will be submitted to national authorities for a formal recognition that fosters its integration into VET Programmes), and their respective modules, are in need for improvement. The results of the pilots showed that, even though there is the need to make adjustments in some of the qualification’s contents, overall, all professionals participating in the pilots found it to be insightful and important for their upskilling.
The next step now is to make the necessary adjustments and improvements, and reflect them on the online training platform, which will be tested in the second LOST2 pilot phase, at the beginning of 2025. This online training platform will become an Open Educational Resource (OER), available to VET teachers and learners (including the professionals working in the search for missing people and missing children across Europe), on which all training contents and materials will be available. The necessary changes to this platform were also addressed in this meeting, where partners provided their own perspectives about how to ensure its user-friendliness and structural coherence.
Moreover, this meeting was an opportunity to talk about Dissemination actions (under EfVET responsibility, with support from P-Consulting, member of EfVET in Greece). About this topic, it was agreed that the next e-Newsletter of LOST2 will be published at the end of October, and that partners need to start thinking about the organisation of the final Multiplier Events of the project (between March and May 2025).
