Make It Happen: The last Transnational Project Meeting, in Lisbon

Make It Happen (MiH) is a two-years project aimed to foster international mobility experiences to learners with all kinds of disabilities by capacitating sending, hosting and intermediary organisations (including VET colleges) and their staff with the skills and competencies that allow for positive and meaningful experiences both for learners and staff involved in learning mobilities.

A Catalogue of Inspiring Practices (recognised by Cedefop as a Best Practice), an online training course, and Make It Inclusive (MiH2) Network, where member organisations can access to MiH results (and, most and foremost, can get in touch with each other to collaborate for the implementation of such mobility initiatives) are some of the outcomes of this project, available at MiH website.

All MiH partners gathered in Lisbon on September 25th and 26th for the final Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), and for the MiH Multiplier Event organised by Euroyouth which gathered all project partners and representatives from Portuguese VET schools and companies involved in inclusive mobilities of learners with disabilities. It was an interesting exchange of ideas and practices that allowed all participants to understand the Portuguese reality and what can the MiH results do, when implemented by the above-mentioned organisations, for the quality of these learning mobilities in the country and for learners with disabilities.

As for the TPM, it allowed partners to understand what the next steps are to fine tune the remaining expected results, and to discuss how to ensure the sustainability of Make it Inclusive (MIH) Network so it remains active after the project’s implementation period is completed – October 31st, 2024.

Until then, all partners will be implementing their online and in person MiH Multiplier Events, aimed not only to present the project and its results and to have fruitful discussions as the ones held during Euroyouth MiH Multiplier Event, but also to present the MiH2 Network, which purpose is to create a European network of organisations experienced in the implementation of inclusive mobilities for learners with disabilities, and also newcomers, to collaborate and work together in such kind of initiatives. A place where all MiH2 Network members can also exchange ideas, practices and learn from each other.

EfVET Members interested in knowing more about this Network, about its main benefits and how to become a member can contact EfVET directly.

Information about the dates and places of the next Multiplier Events in Portugal, France, Spain, Italy and Germany are available at MIH website, at https://makeithappen.education/partners-events/, where the respective links for registration are available.
