MICROIDEA – An innovative approach to micro-credentials in the Tourism sector Third Project Meeting, in Copenhagen

Between April 7th and 9th, all partners of the MICROIDEA project gathered in Copenhagen (DK) for the third Transnational Project Meeting.

Hosted by the project’s Associated Partner 3F (Denmark’s largest trade union organisation), this meeting was a chance to celebrate the main achievements of the project reached so far, and to give an overview of all of the outcomes currently under development and that will be fine-tuned during the upcoming months:

  • Training curriculum and materials developed for the “Waiter” occupational profile, with focus on its main activities and specific tasks, covered by this micro-credential course that will be aligned with EQF level 3;

  • AI tool to be used by the target groups of the project (which include job seekers, practitioners and professionals working in the Tourism sector) for skills self-assessment and for job seeking (more details at https://micro-idea.eu/material/).

Soon, the project will conduct pilots in Cyprus, Greece and Spain to test the contents of both outcomes, as well as the MICROIDEA holistic methodology to connect micro-credentials to ISO 17024, a certification scheme that will allow the “Waiter” training curriculum to be recognised by the Tourism sector. Stay tuned for more details on how EfVET Members in these countries can participate!
