On January 17, an important working meeting was held among the members of EfVET Portugal, with the goal of forming a working team to lead the National Board, as well as initiating the discussion of its statutes. The meeting took place at the Fátima Hospitality School and was attended by representatives of EfVET in Brussels: Paolo Nardi and Ibon Rejas, Luís Costa from ANESPO, and representatives from several educational and vocational training institutions, organizations, and companies dedicated to this field of education.
The meeting, which was marked by a highly collaborative dynamic, initially focused on discussing and defining the main objectives and presenting strategies for the EfVET National Board. Among the topics discussed were the structure, election of members, competencies, and responsibilities, in addition to ensuring an agenda that responds to challenges, particularly in defining funding policies for the 2028/2034 Plan and supporting the organization of the EfVET 2025 Conference.
During the meeting, the team to lead the National Board was defined, considered representative of the entities present:
- Luís Costa from ANESPO
- Fernanda Torres from the Ensinus Group
- Carla Medeiros from Esprominho
- João Costa from ATEC
Participants emphasized the importance of this group’s dynamic and its contribution to making Portugal’s voice heard in European forums regarding vocational training.
Strategically, the team was challenged to prepare the statutes and draft a work plan within one month, including biannual activities for exchanging ideas, as well as considering the entry of new members.
The creation of the statutes and a work plan is seen as a crucial step for strengthening collaboration, in addition to providing greater visibility and impact for EfVET Portugal at national and international levels.
After lunch at the “Claustro Monfortino” Restaurant at the Fátima Hospitality School, prepared and served by students, a working meeting followed, aiming to share and discuss key aspects of organizing the EfVET 2025 Conference in Fátima next October.
Led by Luís Costa in partnership with Paolo Nardi, EfVET’s Executive Director, discussions began on topics for the conference and potential speakers who could enrich its quality with their technical knowledge or professional experience.
The work concluded with the clear availability and commitment of all to collaborate with the Fátima Hospitality School in organizing and promoting the EfVET 2025 Conference.
