Amersfoort, Netherlands – October 23 to 26, 2024 – The 33rd EfVET Annual Conference: “Training Gen Z: New Horizons for VET” aimed at addressing those challenges in order to offer the delegates and the VET ecosystem concrete tools to successfully cope the new emerging challenges in education and training.
During the EfVET roundtable sessions, EU project teams had the opportunity to disseminate progress, results, and products of project outcomes and sustainability, including the PoVE Water Scale-up project coordinators CIV Water, and the consortium partners from Learning Hub Friesland and EfVET, attracting interest from more 30 attendees from different European countries.
Pilot “PoVE Water Scale-up” is a transnational project that draws on existing and emerging vocational competences and skills needs in the water sector. The goal was to introduce EfVET participants into the subject of the project: Centres of Vocational Excellence and Virtual Platform.
Key discussions recognized the value of water sectors while addressing challenges like “positive feedback” emphasized the need to overcome these challenges for broader implementation across Europe. As well the new networking opportunities discussions on future collaborations in water relationships in different countries.
The participants were invited to share their thoughts on main concept that the “PoVE Water Scale-up” project encompasses. Many attendees highlighted key aspects such as the value of engagement in water for flexible learning pathways, the importance of focused learning topics, and potential for innovation training methods.
Erna van der Werff and Pieter Hoekstra highlight that within the “PoVE Water Scale-up” project, the water technologies is shaping the future of water management.
It was an interactive roundtable discussion on integrating vocational education with industry for innovation, which offered valuable insights to teachers, headmasters and stakeholders.
