Recognition of Professional Qualifications in Kosovo

The public campaign promotes and emphasises the European Union’s support to the Government of Kosovo to align the national legislative and regulatory framework on the recognition of professional qualifications (RPQ) and institutional set up with the EU Acquis. This campaign will raise public awareness on RPQ and its benefits to Kosovar citizens, as well as on the ongoing comprehensive reform implemented by the Government of Kosovo in this sector, supported by the EU. The project is implemented by WEglobal, while the public campaign is implemented by Prishtina REA

Campaign Objectives:

• Raising awareness on the recognition of professional qualifications, latest legislative developments, institutional capacity building, demonstrating the benefits and advantages of the recognition of professional qualifications process to the target groups;
• Information sharing on the importance of enacting national legislation aligned with the EU Acquis on MRPQ, taking into consideration the equal treatment and opportunities of women and men;
• Raising awareness on cross-cutting issues relating to gender, minorities, as well as inclusion of individuals with disabilities;
• Promoting and scaling-up the national ownership and in-depth engagement of all the relevant stakeholders, consolidating the broad participation, including the under- represented groups;
• The creation/use of venues for public-private dialogue with the view to engage all the relevant stakeholders will be encouraged;
• Enhancing the visibility of the EU as the donor of the project.
