TEIWEST takes part in Startup Ole 2017 international event!
TEISWEST (Greece)
The Technological Educational institute of Western Greece had been invited to the events of Startup Olé 2017, held in Salamanca, Spain on April, 26-27.
The representative of the Technology Transfer Office, Mrs Georgia Galani, attended the two-day event, since TEIWEST is a member of the Startup Europe University Network.
Startup Ole 2017 was supported by Startup Europe initiative and hosted academia, policy makers, investors and startuppers both as speakers and attendees.
The EC delegated its Officers from DG Connect to officially guide the parallel events, open discussions and workshops, as well as startup pitching process, gathering more than 200 participants from 60 countries.
TEIWEST attended the meeting for the members of the Startup Europe University Network but also participated in the pre-launch meeting of the Startup Europe Cities Network; these meetings as well as the panel sessions gave our representative the chance to showcase the entrepreneurial spirit of TEIWEST, present our initiatives and action plan and trigger bilateral collaborations with other academic, scientific and governmental institutions across Europe.
The next Startup Olé event will take place in April 2018, hoping to capitalize on this years’ activities and even broaden the networks and linkages between research, innovation and industry.
