Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece (TEIWEST) had the opportunity to participate actively in the EUF Open Space 2017, a project incubation event that gives participants the opportunity to find out more about EU funding opportunities, discuss their own project ideas with colleagues from across Europe, and plan the next steps for submitting and managing project applications.
TEIWEST (Greece)
The EUF OpenSpace held in Naples, in southern Italy and hosted by the University of Naples Federico II from 26 to 28 June 2017, gathered more than 65 higher education professionals from 25 countries across Europe.
The participants learned how to develop a high impact Erasmus+ project proposal and applied key criteria of successful applications to their new project ideas and actively participated in project incubation sessions.
The program included:
- Presentations and group work sessions aimed at creating, developing and managing Erasmus + program
- Workshops in six (6) halls in parallel
- Project idea corner where more than 18 project ideas were incubated and the participants were given an opportunity to network and search for partners to realize their ideas
TEIWEST actively participated in three workshops on developing an idea and creating a successful Erasmus + proposal, applying key criteria, evaluating a proposal and finding weak points for the successful implementation of a project. In addition, networking and meetings among the representatives of the European University Foundation (EUF) were held to discuss possible future cooperation. At the same time, a first approach was taken to the context in which the TEI of Western Greece could take an active role as a member of the pan-European network to enhance academic excellence, entrepreneurship, innovation and promote the mobility of high quality students.
