Empowering Communities Through Training for Sustainable and Authentic Tourism Practices
The AGORA Project is making progress as we develop a blended training course for adult learners. This action contributes to our overall goal of promoting sustainable and authentic tourism experiences that focus on local culture and heritage. By bringing community partners, local producers, and tourism agents in touch, AGORA tries to upgrade the tourism experience, focusing on regenerative practices that benefit both the environment and the community.

Key features
Implemented from December 2022 to November 2025, AGORA is designed to:
- Enable community stakeholders, local producers, and tourism agents to collaborate, in order to make use of original and sustainable tourism experiences based on regenerative principles.
- Promote lifelong learning opportunities for adults by developing educational resources that include engagement and modern tourism practices.
- Promote environmental and cultural sustainability by supporting regenerative tourism models that prioritize local authenticity, circular practices, and the preservation of heritage and culture.
At the core of the ongoing phase is the creation of a training course that will help community members, local producers, and tourism agents to practically utilize regenerative tourism methods. The course will provide participants with the tools and knowledge needed to co-create experiences that are not only sustainable, but also consider their local ecosystems and are tailored based on it. Collaborative Effort The AGORA project comprises nine organisations from eight countries, each contributing their expertise to the project’s activities:
- Eurosuccess Consulting
- Chambre de Commerce Italienne de Nice Sophia Antipolis Côte d’Azur
- DOMSPAIN SLU
- Taste Roots Società Cooperativa
- EURAKOM SASU
- Cooperation Bancaire Pour l’Europe
- C.M. Skoulidi & Sia E.E.
- Bulgarian Association of Wine Professionals
- Greenescape Oy Our partner organizations are working collaboratively to design the course.
Another key element of this development phase is the creation of guidelines that will shape the structure and content of the course. These guidelines are being developed with input from people with diverse experiences, making the training materials a reflection of a wide range of perspectives and expertise.
Next Steps for AGORA As we are finalising the course structure and training materials, the AGORA Project team focuses on ensuring that these tools will be adaptable to different local contexts. All partners are actively contributing their expertise to make sure the course is based on the needs of different communities. The training will be available in multiple languages. Looking ahead, the final version of the blended course will be ready with its educational guidelines for adult educators, who will be facilitating this learning process.
