The first 2025 meeting of the EfVET Board is held in Italy

The Board Meeting brings together European representatives to discuss key aspects at the opening of the new year

Bari, 30-31 January 2025The first 2025 meeting of the EfVET Board will be held in the historic city of Bari, in the Department of Literature and Language Arts of the University of Bari Aldo Moro.

The event brings together European EfVET National Representatives to discuss key issues at the opening of the new year, including:

  • Implementation of the EfVET Strategy 2022-2026
  • EfVET Communication, new directions and key contents
  • EfVET Membership structure, in changing times
  • EfVET Conference: take aways from 2024 and first steps for 2025

During the meeting a discussion will also ensue on the more dynamic and proactive role of EfVET in the European vocational education and training (VET) system.

As pointed out by the President of EfVET James Calleja, the first Board meeting of the year will serve to take stock of the events and activities in 2024 and set in motion the workplan for 2025. EfVET will lead several study visits in 2025 and will be organizing important thematic themes conferences as well as the annual conference in Fatima, Portugal.

Professor Calleja remarked that “EfVET is gradually becoming the voice of European training providers and stakeholders who believe that vocational education and training is a way of learning unparalleled by other sectors of education as it combines theory and practice at all levels and in all sectors. For this reason, it is imperative that during 2025 EfVET plays a key role in its contribution to the EC strategy for vocational education”.

Meeting with local members on the territory, active in the cultural and creative area, is considered very important for EfVET members as they represent a key aspect of the organization’s vision and values.

The meeting will kick off with a presentation of the agenda & preparatory notes, followed by teamwork sessions and workshops managed by EfVET Staff with and for the Members.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all EfVET members for their participation, and we look forward to seeing you come together to begin our joint work.
