How to achieve European digitization that is inclusive, just, resilient, innovative, and guarantees European digital sovereignty? What is the digital future of the EU and how to build a digital society? How to also ensure a healthy approach, a digital detox from screen time to digital well-being? How to talk to teenagers and children about cybersecurity as a preventive act? These and many other questions were discussed during the ALL DIGITAL #ADWeeks final event.

Open discussion on “AI literacy”, with EU initiatives like the “AI Continent Action Plan”, and the “European approach to artificial intelligence”. As stated in the project presentation, “The main landmark initiative of the Communication is “#GenAI4EU” to stimulate the uptake of generative AI across the Union’s key strategic industrial ecosystems and that will encourage the development of large open innovation ecosystems that will foster collaboration between AI startups and deployers of AI in industry as well as the public sector.” The AI Act is the first-ever legal framework which addresses the risks of AI and positions Europe to play a leading role globally.
Parallel sessions on gender gap in the ICT sector; how to deal with fake news (focus on social media and AI generators); the confrontation between a technological AI vs. a responsible/ethical AI; the capacity building and empowerment initiatives for a stronger connection between European organizations/local institutions.
This new and rapidly evolving technology is reshaping sectors in the #EU, creating new occupations/expertise, while other positions will change and evolve. It is therefore necessary to stay up-to-date and in step with the times, and in this respect the #VETsector can make an important contribution to the effective implementation of targeted policies.
