EfVET is taking part in the Forum of Vocational Excellence 2025, themed “Driven by learners, defined by excellence”.
The Forum of Vocational Excellence 2025, held in Kolding, Denmark, from the 8th to the 11th of September, is gathering key stakeholders from across Europe and beyond to advance the dialogue on the future of Vocational Education and Training (VET).
EfVET was represented both by its Secretariat and its members, underlining the organisation’s commitment to promoting Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) and working & cooperating across education.
A highlight of the event was the panel discussion held the 9th of September, “EU Competitiveness and VET”, featuring Paolo Nardi, Executive Director of EfVET, alongside Troels Lund, Chief Analyst at the Economic Council of the Labour Movement, and Signe Tychsen Philip, Vice-Director at the Confederation of Danish Industries.
In his intervention, Paolo Nardi addressed the importance of adopting an ecosystemic approach to Vocational Education, highlighting the need for cooperation not only among VET centres and companies, but also with policy makers, agencies, and international institutions such as CEDEFOP, UNESCO-UNEVOC, and OECD.
He also encouraged participants to use the Forum not only as a space for discussion but also as an opportunity to share concrete practices: “How are you developing your ecosystems approach? How are you building effective cooperation? And how can we, as VET providers, help you do even better?”
In addition to this high-level debate, EfVET partnered with EVBB and EVTA to co-host the workshop “CoVEs and CoVE Community in 2035: Shaping Their Future”.
EfVET’s engagement at the Forum reaffirms its role as a catalyst for dialogue, innovation, and collaboration within the VET sector. The organisation continues to champion the Centres of Vocational Excellence model as a driver for competitiveness, lifelong learning, and the upskilling and reskilling needed for the skills of the future.
