About Us
EfVET is an EU umbrella association, established in 1991, with the purpose of building a network community of TVET stakeholders, to secure a voice across Europe in European policymaking and practice arenas. EfVET represents 400+ TVET stakeholders in 50+ countries (including in Africa and Asia), reaching 2K+ TVET providers, 200K+ educators and 2M+ learners. You will be part of a dynamic team of 8 people based in Brussels and remotely, responsible for the implementation of the key activities in EU-funded projects and advocacy efforts, including key events to promote TVET at the European and international levels.

Role Overview
The Projects & Events Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation of EU funded projects, particularly under Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and related frameworks. And the planning and execution of relevant events of the association as well as of relevant projects. The successful candidate will also contribute to the creation of high-quality policyrelated content for advocacy and supporting the team by crafting engaging content, aligning messaging with project goals, and ensuring visibility across appropriate channels.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Assist with planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of EU-funded projects.
  • Support the coordination of project tasks, timelines, partner contributions, and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement dissemination and communication plans tailored to each project.
  • Participate in project meetings, draft minutes, and follow up on action points.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and assist in reporting to the European Commission.

Events

  • Support the coordination of the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of key EfVET events such as the Annual Conference and other relevant EU-funded projects events.
  • Support the provision of suppliers for such events and negotiate preferential rates.
  • Coordinate the preparation of presentations and reports.
  • Produce and edit clear, engaging written content (e.g., newsletters, press releases, blog posts, policy briefs, etc.).
  • Help organise and coordinate project meetings, events/workshops/study visits (logistics and contents)
  • Engage with key stakeholders before, during and after the events.
  • Represent EfVET in meetings, conferences and international events

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

  • University degree in Economics, European Studies, Political Science, Project Management, Communications, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in (EU) project management and/or events management preferably within an NGO, association, or other civil society organisation.
  • Proven ability to draft professional written content in English for various audiences and coordinating small/medium size events.
  • Excellent command of English (C1); knowledge of another language is a strong asset.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Desirable skills

  • Experience implementing dissemination and communication activities under EUfunded projects.
  • Familiarity with EU funding programmes (especially Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, CoVE, KA2, etc.).
  • Familiarity with digital tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Canva, other)
  • Knowledge of stakeholder engagement.
  • Previous work in an international and multicultural environment.
