DigiCraft 5.0 Bringing Artisanship and Industry 5.0

DigiCraft 5.0 Bringing Artisanship and Industry 5.0 is a small-scale partnership in VET project, funded by Erasmus+ Programme.

With a duration of 12 months (September 2025 – August 2026), DigiCraft 5.0 expected results include a new VET curriculum titled Expert Designer in Digital Fabrication, targeting VET institutions and training providers, VET teachers, trainers and other educators, VET learners, apprentices, and traditional artisans and SMEs working in the Culture and Creative Industries.

The curriculum and materials will be tested between February and June 2026 (online and in person, in Italy), and will be publicly available on a MOOC platform to be created in the project.

DigiCraft 5.0 project aims to:

  • Develop and test an innovative Vocational Education and Training (VET) curriculum integrating digital fabrication, computational design and sustainability principles;
  • Pilot the contents of the curriculum with active participation from VET trainers and learners, and Artisans;
  • Create a high-quality Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform to ensure broad accessibility to the developed curriculum, while integrating micro-credentials and open badges;
  • Ensure the alignment between the structure of the curriculum and key European standards (e.g., European Qualifications Framework (EQF), European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) principles, DigiComp, and EntreComp), fostering the adoption of the developed curriculum in formal education;
  • Expand and disseminate the curriculum through EfVET wide network of VET Providers from more than 42 countries to foster the long term sustainability of DigiCraft 5.0 results and outcomes.
